A Taxing Januray

After the fun and frolics of the festive period, most of my employees – and myself for that matter – would be happy to just take things nice and easy in the first couple of weeks of the year.

Sadly, and you can’t have missed the Moira Stuart-featuring adverts, we’ve all been pretty busy preparing our tax returns to the government.

That makes for a troublesome and slightly stressful month. Thankfully I’ve got an excellent accountant who helps get everything done.

That said, I really need to make the effort this year to keep tabs on all my expenses and payments to save the stress of looking for all the bits of paper like has happened this year.

Booked Parking at Liverpool Airport Ahead of US Trip

I dunno if I’ve said, but we’re doing very well currently and have enev picked up some global clients who are predominately based over in the US.

Good for business, bad for jet lag as I’ve been to and fro countless times.

It can be a strain at times, but I genuinely enjoy being out and about – especially to places as exciting as New York, San Francisco and LA.

And one way of making the journeys a bit more bearable is to use the multiple parking companies available  who offer to pick the car up at the airport and then drop it off on my return.

I’ve just booked parking at Liverpool airport with such a company.

Cutting Business Costs With Cheap Gas and Electricity

While the worst of the recession is now behind us, I’ve been working hard since the turn of the year to cut costs across the office.

One important and fairly major saving has came from changing energy provider and tapping into a cheap gas and electricity supply.

Using one of those comparison sites that are everywhere these days, I was able to switch provider and bring savings of over £350 a year.

And while that’s not the biggest saving I’ve made recently, it is certainly the easiest with the site taking care of the switch.

Next on the cost cutting plan is tutoring my workforce on the best ways to cut their energy usage – stuff like switching off lights and computers fully.

Why airport meet and greet parking is a boon on business trips

Despite the recession, business is booming at my company and with it, my AirMiles are rising at a barely believable rate!

In the past fortnight I’ve been over to Paris, north to Edinburgh, Inverness and Manchester and attended a conference in Berlin.

Bar the Berlin exhibition, all of these trips have been simply day meetings meaning I fly up in the morning and back in the evening so an airport meet and greet parking company is ideal.

It is a real time-saver as I can drive directly to the airport and drop the car off at the terminal and, when I return, the wheels are back at the airport meaning I can jump in and get home quickly after a tough day.
