Business Tip #1 – Do the Opposite of Pompey

So Portsmouth FC have, after a long drawn out fight, fallen into administration.

A combination of bad decisions, insane contracts and transfer fees and spending money they didn’t have has put Pompy into this perilous state.

And I can’t help but wonder how bad the management of this company has been. Countless owners and spending money to get to an artificial level was never going to be sustained.

Now, after a 9 point deduction for falling into administration, relegation is basically guaranteed.

And with the added drain of a drop in television money and gate reciepts guaranteed next season, the club’s long term future must be questioned.

Alternative Energy Options to Cut Business Costs

With my business costs soaring, I’ve recently been looking into alternative energy options.

My drive to cut these operating costs can only be a good thing for the company, and comes after I read about the energy suppliers enjoying huge profits.

Living in Scotland, I’m lucky to be in one the countries that is at the forefront of creating alternative energy options.

With wave and tidal renewable energy plants either built, planned or on trail, there are plenty of options.

Based on my factory’s location, I think wave energy is something we can actively plan for. In the mean time we’ll work on simple stuff like improved insulation.

Booking Amsterdam Flights for a New Business Op

My business could be set for expansion into Holland if we win a lucrative new contract.

It’s a busy time, made worse by the fact I’ve been in the air most of the timeĀ  on a variety of Amsterdam flights.

We still have to frugal though, so I’ve been using the price comparison sites to locate the best possible deals.

I imagine we’ll have a few more weeks of discussions before the potential client makes their final choice. After that, and if the offer is as lucrative as I hope, we’ll have to employ someone full-time in the country.

Exciting time ahead.
