Should I buy a space Acer laptop battery?
Over the weekend I took advantage of a good deal at my local computer store and bought a new Acer netbook.
And, after playing around with it for the past few days, I can report that it is a highly impressive device.
Sure, its lack of processing power and small screen means you wouldn’t want to edit a movie on it but, as a small, portable web-ready word processor it is bang on the money for my needs and requirements.
The relative lack of processing power means that battery life is hugely impressive – about twice as long as my full-size laptop manages. That said, I’ve invested in a spare Acer laptop battery just so I’m never stuck.

Thinking of looking for flats to rent in Prestwick
With business booming we’ve recently taken on a new project in Glasgow.
Taking on a new site is always exciting but my task is to find an affordable way of putting up the staff as we complete this 6-month long assignment.
With the site to the south of Glasgow, I originally looked for student-style digs in the centre of town. However, costs were prohibitive so instead I’m looking for flats to rent in Prestwick or another of Ayrshire’s many towns.
As you’d expect, rent is a fair bit cheaper and, while these flats are a bit further away from the site, they are just as close since there is less rush hour traffic.

Finding the ideal tweed coat
I looked everywhere for a coat that I could wear in the daytime with jeans or over a dress for a special occasion. After hours going from shop to shop, I was left frustrated and had swollen feet to boot!
The next day, while surfing the net, I found a clothing website which specialised in tweed clothing. My curious streak led me to click on the site and there it was – the holy grail of coats. A beautiful, stunningly designed tweed coat, which I promptly bought and having chosen express delivery, looked forward to receiving!
I like, no I love my tweed coat. The classic cut makes it practical, versatile and comfortable. The soft wool mix coupled with the all over loose style fit means I haven’t taken it off since I got it, and the quality of the material means it’ll last me a few years to come.

Search for Flats to Rent in Aberdeen
I’m pretty confident that the worst of the recession is now over, and my optimism is reflected in the substantial contract we’ve just won up in Aberdeen.
The Granite City is of course Europe’s oil and gas capital so setting up an office in the north of Scotland seems a wise decision.
I’ve started looking for offices and flats to rent in Aberdeen and we’re hoping to have the plans confirmed within the next month or so.
Finding a suitable office has been pretty easy. After searching online, we’ve gone for a floor in a large office block on an industrial estate populated by the big players in the industry.

Outdoor team building to help your business grow
Undertaking outdoor team building is a great way to boost morale within your business.
Believe me I know. In recent months, due to the recession biting, I’ve had to cut staff numbers and reduce wages across the board. As you can imagine, that’s not been well received.
That’s why, now that business is again beginning to grow, I’m going to treat the remaining workforce to some activities during the summer.
White water rafting, clay pigeon shooting and go-karting will all be considered – I’ll probably let the staff vote for their preferred option.
Hopefully, it will be a good day out and really help to rebuild relations within the company.

Where to find gas and electricity suppliers?
I’ve been on something of a cost-cutting mission of late as we try and reduce our office costs.
My mission began on that recent Switch Off energy saving day when businesses were urged to cut the lights for an hour.
Our office did it and I quickly realised that we didn’t need half the lights on during a typical day – especially as we’ve seen some far nicer and brighter weather in recent weeks.
Since then, I’ve been looking for how to find gas and electricity suppliers in our area so I can compare prices.
And, if I can find cheaper prices, I’ll have no issue in switching provider.

Choosing the right Birmingham Airport car parks
I’ve been using Birmingham Airport a lot recently as new business opportunities come to the fold, and I’ve found the service from one company to the other mixed to say the least.
However, I’ve really enjoyed the customer service offered by the Birmingham Airport car parks that offer a meet and greet service.
That way I can drive straight to the airport’s terminal, pass them the keys and go and check in. There is no hassle of driving to a dingy industrial estate to drop the car off then sitting on a courtesy bus back to the airport.
And with car waiting at the terminal on my return it means I can get home quicker after a busy day.

Search for Apartments to Rent in Belfast
We’ve recently taken on a load of new work in Northern Ireland’s capital city – Belfast.
It is undoubtedly good news but it does present new challenges – first and foremost getting somebody on the ground over there.
A member of my team is prepared to travel over but he has asked, and it is a fair enough request, that we look for apartments to rent in Belfast as opposed to putting him up in a depressing motorway hotel.
So I’ve been looking at two bed flats in Belfast over the past week. Rental prices are reasonably affordable and there is a good selection available, too.
