Bubble wrap – take time to appreciate it!
Bubble wrap – it’s certainly a fantastic invention for those who are moving home or in the business of selling breakable goods! It’s hard to remember what we used to do without it.
But did you know that there is also an annual Bubble wrap appreciation day in January? Or that you can pop as much bubble wrap as you like in an environmentally responsible way by going online and doing it virtually?
In the light of all this, it seems it’s not simply a handy packaging material after all, but more of an institution that, over the years, has worked its way steadily into our affections!

Bird control solutions
There was an interesting item on the local news the other day about bird control. Apparently, birds cause hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage to properties every year, and many large companies and local authorities go to some quite extreme lengths to control the bird population.
the item focussed on the use of birds of prey to scare away problem birds. I had no idea that some pest control companies provided this as a service to businesses and individuals, but apparently it’s actually quite common. They even have professional falconers on-staff to look after the birds and handle them.

Use zip bags to make your products stand out
If you have your own business, you’ll know all about the importance of using the right packaging. Your products may be the best in their field, but your customers won’t appreciate that if they’re presented to them in an undesirable receptacle. You have to make an effort to stand out from the rest.
Using zip bags is a wonderful idea, because they keep purchases safe and protected. They’re transparent, so they also showcase your goods as they’re passed on to the buyer. You’ll be glad you did the sensible thing and invested in them.

Should I buy a space Acer laptop battery?
Over the weekend I took advantage of a good deal at my local computer store and bought a new Acer netbook.
And, after playing around with it for the past few days, I can report that it is a highly impressive device.
Sure, its lack of processing power and small screen means you wouldn’t want to edit a movie on it but, as a small, portable web-ready word processor it is bang on the money for my needs and requirements.
The relative lack of processing power means that battery life is hugely impressive – about twice as long as my full-size laptop manages. That said, I’ve invested in a spare Acer laptop battery just so I’m never stuck.

Finding the ideal tweed coat
I looked everywhere for a coat that I could wear in the daytime with jeans or over a dress for a special occasion. After hours going from shop to shop, I was left frustrated and had swollen feet to boot!
The next day, while surfing the net, I found a clothing website which specialised in tweed clothing. My curious streak led me to click on the site and there it was – the holy grail of coats. A beautiful, stunningly designed tweed coat, which I promptly bought and having chosen express delivery, looked forward to receiving!
I like, no I love my tweed coat. The classic cut makes it practical, versatile and comfortable. The soft wool mix coupled with the all over loose style fit means I haven’t taken it off since I got it, and the quality of the material means it’ll last me a few years to come.
