Money Saving Tips

Hybrid mail saved us money

My company, like many others, are struggling to keep their heads above water at the moment. Two or three years of economic recession have taken their toll, and the future wasn’t looking very bright at all. However, we have at least managed to find substantial savings on our postal costs.
We are now using a hybrid mail provider, and the effects on our spending are dramatic. Our financial department have announced that our expenditure in this vital sector of our business has been reduced by 60%. It does at least give us some hope for the coming twelve months.

Look into a hybrid mail concept

The recent recession has left many companies struggling to stay in business, and a large number of others have not managed to survive at all. Sadly, my employer is desperately trying to stay afloat, and they have asked every employee, from the directors down, to suggest ways of saving money.
I offered to look at the hybrid mail concept that my boss introduced in my last place of work. It saved them a small fortune in postage costs almost immediately, and for no fresh outlay whatsoever. As an added bonus, it has also reduced their carbon footprint, an important issue these days.

Cheap postal boxes are ideal for my business

Like many other people, I have started my own business selling on auction websites, and I have enjoyed turning it into a relative success. I supply electrical spares directly to the home, and it’s good fun as well being rather profitable. For me, packaging is a vital part of the operation.
I have bought a large quantity of cheap postal boxes recently, because I managed to find a particularly low price. I don’t have a problem with space, so storage wasn’t an issue. Having said that, they arrived folded anyway, so it was never likely to pose a problem.

Brown postal boxes – buy in bulk

If you run a business, the recent economic upheaval has probably made you review your spending in all sectors. Transport, raw materials and employment costs may all have come under the microscope, but if you haven’t had a close look at your packaging, now could be the best time to do so.
Brown postal boxes, padded envelopes, plastic bags, wrapping paper and cellophane are always cheaper when bought in bulk, especially if you manage to obtain them all from the same supplier. When you see your expenditure dropping, you’ll be so glad you made the effort to save.

Use a hybrid mail document and save pounds

For businesses all over the United Kingdom, making savings is of paramount importance. The days when you could just coast along without having to change too many things are long gone. Being pro-active is the order of things now. And if your company spends large sums on postage, you need to look into alternative methods.
One of the most efficient, and one that brings instant rewards, is to email a hybrid mail document to a specialist provider, and have them send the subsequent paperwork to customers and clients. It can make a dramatic dent in your outgoings from day one.

Compare the Best Car Insurance Prices for Your Fleet

My business has a fleet of vehicles which are essential for the successful day-to-day running of the company but are a huge drain on resources.

Your company may be the same, so take heed of this tip: it is imperative that you compare the best car insurance deals to find the best option for your needs.

Bear in mind that the cheapest deal may not be the best – I’d imagine that your cars/vans/trucks will cover a huge amount of miles every year so watch out that there are no annual mileage restrictions included within the policy.

Another good way of cutting your fleet costs is to educate your drivers to drive economically. This will extend the miles to the gallon figure of the vehicle and, thus, reduce your fuel costs.

Alternative Energy Options to Cut Business Costs

With my business costs soaring, I’ve recently been looking into alternative energy options.

My drive to cut these operating costs can only be a good thing for the company, and comes after I read about the energy suppliers enjoying huge profits.

Living in Scotland, I’m lucky to be in one the countries that is at the forefront of creating alternative energy options.

With wave and tidal renewable energy plants either built, planned or on trail, there are plenty of options.

Based on my factory’s location, I think wave energy is something we can actively plan for. In the mean time we’ll work on simple stuff like improved insulation.

Cutting Business Costs With Cheap Gas and Electricity

While the worst of the recession is now behind us, I’ve been working hard since the turn of the year to cut costs across the office.

One important and fairly major saving has came from changing energy provider and tapping into a cheap gas and electricity supply.

Using one of those comparison sites that are everywhere these days, I was able to switch provider and bring savings of over £350 a year.

And while that’s not the biggest saving I’ve made recently, it is certainly the easiest with the site taking care of the switch.

Next on the cost cutting plan is tutoring my workforce on the best ways to cut their energy usage – stuff like switching off lights and computers fully.
