Eldest Son Learns About Anti Cafard
My eldest son is spending a year in Morocco and loving learning new French expressions every day. The latest is Anti Cafard – and his latest email home told us all about it. Understandably, when the concierge in his apartment block in Marrakech first mentioned this, Josh mystified at first. The concierge has almost no English, and Josh is the only Brit in the building. So he had to go and look it up. It actually means ‘anti cockroach’, or cockroach control. I’d never have known that, and I quite enjoyed French at school!
Serge, the caretaker chap, was trying to explain that some apartments have had dreadful cockroach problems and need to be properly treated. Happily Josh hasn’t seen any in his place, but the flat is going to be treated anyway, as a precaution.
So the place should be roach-free when we go out there to join Josh for Christmas. Can’t wait!

Choosing the right Birmingham Airport car parks
I’ve been using Birmingham Airport a lot recently as new business opportunities come to the fold, and I’ve found the service from one company to the other mixed to say the least.
However, I’ve really enjoyed the customer service offered by the Birmingham Airport car parks that offer a meet and greet service.
That way I can drive straight to the airport’s terminal, pass them the keys and go and check in. There is no hassle of driving to a dingy industrial estate to drop the car off then sitting on a courtesy bus back to the airport.
And with car waiting at the terminal on my return it means I can get home quicker after a busy day.

Booking Amsterdam Flights for a New Business Op
My business could be set for expansion into Holland if we win a lucrative new contract.
It’s a busy time, made worse by the fact I’ve been in the air most of the time on a variety of Amsterdam flights.
We still have to frugal though, so I’ve been using the price comparison sites to locate the best possible deals.
I imagine we’ll have a few more weeks of discussions before the potential client makes their final choice. After that, and if the offer is as lucrative as I hope, we’ll have to employ someone full-time in the country.
Exciting time ahead.

Booked Parking at Liverpool Airport Ahead of US Trip
I dunno if I’ve said, but we’re doing very well currently and have enev picked up some global clients who are predominately based over in the US.
Good for business, bad for jet lag as I’ve been to and fro countless times.
It can be a strain at times, but I genuinely enjoy being out and about – especially to places as exciting as New York, San Francisco and LA.
And one way of making the journeys a bit more bearable is to use the multiple parking companies available who offer to pick the car up at the airport and then drop it off on my return.
I’ve just booked parking at Liverpool airport with such a company.

Why airport meet and greet parking is a boon on business trips
Despite the recession, business is booming at my company and with it, my AirMiles are rising at a barely believable rate!
In the past fortnight I’ve been over to Paris, north to Edinburgh, Inverness and Manchester and attended a conference in Berlin.
Bar the Berlin exhibition, all of these trips have been simply day meetings meaning I fly up in the morning and back in the evening so an airport meet and greet parking company is ideal.
It is a real time-saver as I can drive directly to the airport and drop the car off at the terminal and, when I return, the wheels are back at the airport meaning I can jump in and get home quickly after a tough day.
